The autotranny pan is quite easy. Just remove all the bolts. (have a HUGE
pan ready) and easily pry on one end of the pan. Slowly tilt it down and
wait for the fluid to drip (pour) out of it.

As for inside the tranny. There is a filter, but you can buy a screen for it
at a specialty tranny shop. (4-5 bucks) it is held in my 3- Torx 25 bolts.
  just unbolt and it comes right down.

Clean the pan of the old gasket material REALLY well (get some RTV also)
and it'll make life a LOT easier if you buy this gasket adhesive spray.
it's like a spray glue that holds the gasket in place so it doesn't slide
around and lose it's position. Bolt everything back up. (should be 4
quarts of ATF +3) and you're set to go....
