I know I don't feel a 39 hp loss when the AC kicks in. However, I sure feel
a big loss when the big (ambient temp) fan kicks in. I'm sure that fan uses
more than the AC.

About a year and a half ago, one of the fellas on the list that worked at a
Chrysler garage posted that the A/C compressor sucked down 39.?HP. I know
this sounds extreme, but I didn't question it since it came from a garage
tech. Maybe it's time for re-clairification on this one.

Does anyone know how much HP the AC compressor takes away from the crank
when the AC clutch is engaged?
