Things like that don't go away by themselves. You still need to check it
out before you end up with more serious problems. The symptoms you mention
don't sound like outside temp problem nor contaminated fuel problem.

Well after worrying all day about my baby..I get in to leave after spending
all day at my parents house..Truck runs perfect...
Drove to school this morning..runs good..and the air is alot cooler this
morning 70's as opposed to 100 so it's feelin kinda frisky lol
Well guess a dak wouldn't be as much fun without a personality...

Thanks guys for all your responses..it shows that the dml is really a place
where people like to help out.

Take and disconnect the fuel injector from where you think the noise is
coming from. If the noise stops it's an injector(duh) If it doesn't stop
hook the injector wire back up and disconnect the wires individually for the
injectors to each side of the sound(this will definitely RULE OUT a faulty
injector(of course don't forget to test the wire before changing out the
injector. IFALL OF THIS doesn't work and you feel it's deep in the
engine--then I would say that it's a valve lifter that has varnished up or
collapsed. Either way, it's something that takes time to rule out this and
that to find the problem.
