I had to laugh at this since it was a new 2001 Maxima and the individual
thought that 220Hp was plenty enough for my S-HEMI Dakota to beat...
SURPRISE!!!!
On base (Camp Pendleton), at the rush hour traffic light, I could not resist
anyway to push the Nissan for a race. Having the ATX, I place it in second
gear for some small rubber burning and wham the Nissan was hooked. He
jumped on his Nissan and I pulled ahead and kept teasing him until a car in
the right lane was in the way. It was a good laugh for a light-to-light
street race. I just kept enough power to be one car length ahead of him and
not to allow him to say "I WIN". But I did allow him to pass since I was
not a 4x4 and driving over some other Asian box would not be pretty site. I
am sure people behind us laughed also. End results, don't buy a Nissan
Maxima and race a Dakota, it doesn't work as advertise.
