That is some good info, One thing to look out for if you go that route is
the Mopar Computer also bumps up the fuel curve. So if you retard the
timing 4 degrees to tow, you may run into a situation were it may be to
rich??? I've never heard of it happening but it was just something that I
thought about when reading your post. Some others may be able give you more
info on this.
Again, it may not be a problem at all, just something to maybe ask about.

Subject: DML: MP Computer questions answered
I just got off the phone with the Mopar tech line. I asked them the
following questions:
1-I haven't flashed the VIN and mileage into my MP Computer yet. Why do I
have my ABS and Brake lights illuminated instead of the MIL as I expected?
2- Can I swap the stock and performance computer back and forth for towing?
3- What triggers the lights on the dash to come on before the computer is
flashed? ie. is it the missing VIN or the service mileage not matching the
odometer mileage.
Here are the answers:
1- This is perfectly normal. Any series of warning lights may come on before
the VIN and mileage is flashed. It may be the MIL, it may be the ABS and
Brake, or it may be one of the other lights. Don't worry about it.
2 and 3- Yes, but you will have to have the mileage flashed each time or the
warning lights will come back on. The mileage in the computer not matching
the mileage in the odometer is that causes the lights to illuminate. Here's
the good information! To get around the towing issue with the MP Computer,
install an aftermarket timing retard module. When you need to tow, dial in 4
degrees of retard. This will take you back to the factory advance and will
be fine for towing.
Looks like I'm going to be getting that MSD after all!
