I would really love it if one of the cam companies came out with some cam
profiles for the 4.7L. They'd be pricey since you'd need two, but the
stock profile is beyond wimpy. I can't believe it performs the way it
does with a cam weaker than the old 318 two barrel mileage cam from 30
years ago.

The cam's would be relatively easy to install with the SOHC design.

I'm just not sure if the shorty headers help much on vehicles with the mini
cats in the y pipe like mine. And while I might sneak in mild perf cams,
I'm not going to remove cats.

I'd really like to know if the MP computer affects the trans operation.
The computers on other vehicles can sometimes increase shift pressure as
well as shift points. The slushbox is the weakest link in my dak according
to my well trained buttdyno. I'm guessing a good shift kit could be worth
a 2-3 tenths. That is HUGE, but I can't believe how bad it slips in the
1-2 at WOT.
