I think there's a electronic control switch or servo somewhere that
locks the hubs in when you go to 4wd. My buddy has a '93 Suburban with
the manual shift t-case and his 4wd will not work because of that switch
which is b-o will not lock the hubs. The front axles still spin, but the
front tires don't turn. Left us stuck in the sand with 2 35" BFG M/T's
digging their own grave.
