I have noticed the same but since I don't have a HO PCM to use it will
remain like that until then.

Subject: DML: 4.7L more guts from standstill
It sure seems my 4.7 Dak auto has lost some gusto from a standstill. When
I put the pedal down 1/3, which used to really get up and go, easily
spinning the tires, it now just jumps forward well enough, then begins to
kick in about halfway across the intersection. If I am cornering I can get
wheel spin. Not that I want to spin all the time, but it was nice to know
I could. And I have to wonder if performance has gone down overall so
slowly I didn't notice until now. This all makes a not happy camper.
Things I have done in lazy and futile attempts at a quick solution:
Cleaned K&N drop in; hardly dirty since 2 months ago.
Run a couple of bottles of injector cleaner through over the last 10
tanks.
Scratched my head.
Scratched my butt (this is not a duplicate).
None of the above gave the dak its 'schwing' back, though I could tell a
slight improvement.
Things I've wondered about:
Throttle position sensor not at optimum setting now that things are
wearing in.
Throttle cable stretched over time.
Autolites I put in 5 months ago are fading.
I have put on a snugtop shell which does put a bit more weight on the
backend I suppose (but would it really make that much difference?)
Need a supercharger+NO2.
What are some things I should look into el gurus del dak?
If you respond with multiple ideas please order your ideas based on The
Principle of Least Effort. I want to try the easy stuff first.
I have some ideas of my own but am too lazy to type anymore.
regards,
marty
