No!!! I didn't put R-12 in a R-134A System. The evaporator has a leak......
I put the right stuff in. I am very familiar w/ Residential and commercial
HVAC, And I have a certificate to prove it. I'm not familiar w/ the Daks a/c
And would like to know if anyone has removed and evaporator for a Gen III.
I think that I have to remove the whole dash. If anyone has an fsm w/ a
illustration on the removal of the evaporator I would appreciate it.
TIA Hop...

It's an all day job for a "real" mechanic, and if you are pretty handy, it
could end up being a weekend job. I spent two days off and on replacing the
evaporator in my Gen II. Maybe the Gen III is easier. But yes, the whole
dash has to be removed and jacked up, the steering column must be lowered
and there are some bolts that have to be removed from the firewall. It is a
task, but I priced this at a shop and they wanted $460 just for the
labor.......

Good luck.............
