I sent this earlier and haven't seen it posted. Sorry if it's a double.

I just came back from a three day weekend in Old Forge NY. I've got a
27' tent
camper. The camper weighs about 3000lbs loaded up. I can pull it in 5th
gear on
most easy grades and I go to 4th on steeper hills. This is with the
camper, gear
in the bed, firewood, toys for the kids, 5gal water jug, my wife, a
4year old
and a 6 month old. The truck is a 92 CC v6 5speed 4x2 with 3.55sg rear
with
almost 107k miles. I don't know how the aerodynamic drag will slow you
down. My
tent camper is below the height of the bed cap. The other thing to check
is in
the owners manual I remember seeing that Dodge doesn't recommend towing
in OD
with an auto. Where are you getting the extra 1700lbs? If most of it is
water,
try not filling the tanks until you get to a camp ground. I've never
used my
water tank. I always hook up to the water on the site and carry the 5
gal for
the trip. You should be able to pull it.
