Just break the connection of the small red wire coming from the MSD. That's
your 12-volt switched positive wire.

Subject: DML: MSD Install-Kill Switch?

I have ordered an MSD which should be arriving in the next few days. I
helped a friend install one a while back and we wired it through a
simple 12V "kill switch" (that was hidden) that prevented the engine
from being started when switched. His vehicle used the magnetic pickup
and I know its not used on the Daks. Has anybody else heard of doing
this? I thought (?) that it had something to do with grounding a
certain wire but I'm not sure. Thanks for the help
David
