Brush Guards, Was: Gen I Lift in Progress,

Actually those tail light guards came off a late 80's Ford Ranger. Two
years ago when I was at the Bloomsburg truck show, there was someone who had
both the front and rear brush guards for a Ranger sitting in front of his
truck with a "For Sale" sign on them. I looked at them quickly but he
didn't want to break up the set so I passed on them. A little while later,
a guy who was parked behind me walked up and put them under his big Ford. I
asked him if I could take a look and see how they would fit up to my truck.
They actually fit fairly well and he said he bought them for his wife's
truck, only wanted the front guard and for $20 I could have them. I drilled
two holes on the inside of he tail gate post to mount them and drove it like
that for better than a year. I could see them wiggling at highway speeds in
the side mirrors so a few months back I drilled a hole in front the lamp and
bolted them there with a small nylon spacer I picked up at Home Depot. The
are solid as a rock now. I don't know the brand.

My front brush guard came off an 89 Land Rover.
