Hey Bill, I think this was in reference to the stock
lifters being too heavy, with a potiential for distruction
at high rpms mixed with the stock rockers, springs and weak
(thin walled) pushrods. The pushrods tend to flex at high
rpms and the lifters begin to wobble (weight?), sometimes
breaking the lifter housing. (I don't think I'm telling you
anything you don't already know) But, glad your out there
testing this theory to see if its true or not..hehe. Seriously
though, you would think your heavy duty springs would have
made this condition worse if this was correct. Now, it sounds
like new springs may actually stabilize the valvetrain with
the stock pushrods, lifters etc, to the tune of 6000 rpms. I'm
surprised and would not of thought the motor would be able to
rev that high with your setup. Anyone else?
