Here in California I would ask for a Radar last certification and argue on
that point if you are close to the speed limit. But 50 in a 35? Hmm.

Subject: DML: Speeding ticket
I got a speeding ticket last saturday for 50 in a 35. The cop said his radar
said I was going 56, but he brought it down to be nice I guess and probably
because I hear that are only accurate +/- 7 mph. I really don't think I was
going THAT fast and don't want this ticket on my record because in michigan
we have a weird graduated license program and I am 16(at 17 I get my
unrestricted license if I haven't had any moving viuolations in the last
year). I am wondering what I can do in court and wondering about requesting
a
radar log or something.
ANy help is appreciated.
Thanks,
