My truck was a bucket truck before the Viper seats were installed, but I am
almost positive that Mike Williams here in Mich had a bench in his 2000 RC
R/T and kept the center console/armrest with no trouble. The worst part
about putting the Viper seats in the Dak is gettting them off of the Viper
seat rails - your hands can get pretty hacked up. But its worth every drop
of blood, cuz they are awesome:)

OK, I know Viper seats will fit in a Dakota, but will they fit in ANY
Dakota? I've got the bench seat in my '99...Would I have to lose the
middle piece, and replace it with the console from a Dak with buckets?
Just trying to see if it's even possible, before I get my hopes up too
high.
