Well the K&N filters generally flow more AIR than a
conventional filter. So if the system is running a
bit lean a restrictive intake might help balance the
mixture. So if you have a slight lean condition the
K&N might aggrivate the condition and bring on
preignition and/or force the computer to retard
timing.
