Hey guys,
it's been a while since posted anything so I just thought I would share last nights experience with you.

It started as a nice cool evening here in OKC and I was needing to do something to help my dak get up to temperature in the morning and trying to avoid doing another thermostat change I went and put some cardboard in front of the radiator to cure the problem. That way when I leave for WVa/Md on friday I can take it out and be on my way. Okay so everything goes as well as planned on that little project and I get a little carried away want to do something else. Well my best-friend/partner-in-crime is standing there and I had been meaning to show him something on the coil. So at this point I pull the output to the distibutor off and it takes me a minute to realize that the whole wire came off and was in my hand at which piont I go "F@*K" because I have just noticed that the input sleeve on the distributor cap is fried. Alrighty Then time to call the parts stores for a new distr. cap. I call Prep Girls and they have a BW cap but not Accel. So I call Auto Crones (Oops I mean Zone)!
same deal no accel and I sure as he!! wasn't gonna get the same thing that burnt up on me. OK last chance O'Smiley's, BINGO, not only did they have the BW cap for less than Pep Boys they also had the Accel cap in stock. Whoohoo:)
<Pause:This where we go pick up the Accel Cap>
We get back switch over the wires and install the new cap. And of all the horrible things it runs smoother now needless to say I became happy once again.

MORAL OF THE STORY: make sure you check your connections, etc. periodically to avoid arcing and other bad stuff.
