Dodge Dakota Quad Cab Named Automobile Club of Southern California's Top

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Sept. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- The Automobile Club of
Southern California, the largest affiliate of the AAA, has named the Dodge
Dakota Quad Cab its top scoring truck for its annual ``Target Car'' report.
The report evaluates vehicles based on what's important to the club's 5
million members such as handling and visibility.
``Offering a lot of vehicle in a mid-size package, the Dakota Quad Cab just
might be the vehicle for active families,'' concluded the Automobile Club of
Southern California report. ``There is enough room in the cab to comfortably
accommodate six, plenty of power for a multitude of towing chores and a
cargo bed that can easily carry camping or other recreational equipment.''

The Automobile Club of Southern California chose the Dodge Dakota Quad Cab
Sport 4x2 with a 5.9-liter Magnum V-8 engine for its test which included 10
other compact truck models. As equipped, the Quad Cab is capable of towing
6,350 pounds and has a payload capacity of 1,450 pounds.
The Dakota Quad Cab has received awards from leading automotive and consumer
magazines. It continues to satisfy new customers that have typically
purchased cars in the past. Its customer conveniences coupled with its
ability to haul and tow make it a winning combination.
