Kyle, he was correct. The metric measurements are done that way.
235 refers to the width in mm's (section width), the 75 refers to 75%
of that width is how tall the tire is from rim to tread. and the 15 is of
course the rim diameter.

 Wrong sir, 235 is the overall diameter of the tire. LT 235-75R15 sized tire
 is about 29" tall and 9-9.50" wide.
