Ok, I talked with a local mopar junkie, much like everyone on this list,
hehehe ( I mean that in a very very good way!!!). He too has a 97 Dak 5.2
and he doesn't have the valve. He says that some do and some don't. There
is also a difference in the way that the fuel line hooks up to the fuel rail.
I have the valve, so I have a quick connector on mine that requires a
special little tool that looks like the tool for ferd fuel lines. His just
requires the release of a clamp ( I think) and then the line will slide off
the rail. The FSM I have for my 96 also says the same about 96 models. As
far as a I know, 96 and 97 models have the same driveline, just different
bodies.
