I seriously doubt if the belt is covered under the warrnty. I've heard that
some cracks (which go across the belt) are normal. It's the ones that go
lengthwise that are real trouble. At the very least it would be a good idea
to pick up a new belt to keep with you (along with a wrench for the
tensioner) so you won't get stuck in the woods.
