Getting HP isn't a problem...S/C, Nitrous, Headers, TB, etc. BUT, Joe is
right with the torque part...the Nitrous had put me way past the V8 TQ
(381ft.lbs.) and the S/C is doing almost the same (298ft.lbs.). Even at the
Dyno shop (with the Nitrous at 100HP), the tech was amazed that a little V6
was putting out that much TQ with Nitrous. His statement: "Well, I can
definitely see that it's a truck motor...look at the torque."
Look at the SOHC or DOHC V6's out there and you'll see that the HP figures
are higher but the TQ is much lower. They have to piss-wind their engines
to get up the power while all we have to do is stomp on it from a dead stop.
Hehehe...as for being outrun by others (let's take the S/C Nissan Frontier
for an example)...N O P E. ;)

Ok this is where I get flamed. The V-6 is anemic. It is NOT a race engine,
It will however out-tow any other V-6 on the market. The same is true of my
V-8. The magnum engines were designed for torque, and they have plenty of
it. They do make alot of power with simple mods, that's why bernd's truck
kicks ass. Try to get more torque out of the competition's motor and you
won't get much out of it, but try to get more hp out of our engines and you
have an animal. So I have to agree with consumer reports we will be outrun
by the others but we'll be towing the consumer reports building while we're
doing it.
