Well, there wasn't one behind the stock cam gear on mine either but they're
using a plate for that anyway. Kinda surprised that the aftermarket Cam and
Timing Gear set didn't come with one. Did you use the stock plate behind
the timing gears?

Shouldn't be anything wrong with using the stock key...as long as it fits
snug.

hmmmm, nope and nope :( I got the cam from Mike D. and I know he'd give me
everything that came with it.... I didn't see a thrust bearing come out
with the old cam... anything wrong with reusing the cam key?
