On the bottom of the V6 and V8 (Factory) manifolds, there's a steel plate that
seals up the bottom of the actual manifold...the ALUMINUM manifold. The gasket
that keeps the two together had a tendancy to leak (after a while) which causes
oil to be sucked into the intake as well as a nice vacuum leak
(causing "pinging"). Whoever at DC designed these should be taken out back and
B--ch slapped a few times.
