I have heard Bernd say that relocating the IAT from the intake manifold to
your intake tube/airhat will remedy just such a symptom. That's my next
mod.
Below your original post, I've pasted one of Bernd's *many* mentions of this
mod.

I dont understand this damn dodge...
Ok, the clattering is gone, it still pings like a mutha, and now it seems
like when really cold, it runs like a champ, sounds damn good too, once it
warms up... it runs like crap, perhaps sounds like its running on 5 of the 6
cylinders... I suspected a sensor of some sort, but I dont know... Sounds
like crap...

Hmmmm...sounds like my old instructions. ;)
It's located on the intake manifold on the passenger side front. (Brass
Plug). If you remove/relocate it, you'll need a 1/4" NPT Pipe Plug (Home
Depot carries these) to fill the hole. Drill a 1/2" hole in your intake
tube and thread the IAT sensor in there.

Could someone please explain to me what the IAT sensor is, where it is
located, and what is it's purpose? On a webring with the K&N FIPK they said
to relocate this sensor 6 inches away from the throttle body. Why would
this help and how would you go about this mod?
Thanks
Jay
