Thanks to all for the replies, but the whole dakota towing thing is a no-go
issue. I have contacted u-haul and pulled more info, and it appears the
6x12 trailer itself weights 1700 pounds empty. Has extra disc brakes though
already built on it.
Adding another 5000 pounds and other misc stuff, that'd be over 8,000 pounds
of stuff and it'll be a no go for the dakota this time. We're gonna take a
14 foot boxed ford dully instead and just load up in the box.

Darn, I wanted the nice sound system for the 14-18 hour trip each way too.
maybe a portable CD player. but that just doesn't sound as good.
