I don't think that would be a problem besides the problems that the dodge brakes
already have. I'm pretty sure that there is no difference in the r/t brakes than
what is on other daks. Pretty sure they get the larger rear drums standard though.
I myself don't believe in turning the rotors on my vehicles. At least by normal
standards. The first brake job I replace the pads and lightly sand the rotors with
a fine sandpaper. The second time I just replace the rotors when I replace the
pads. I have never had a problem with my brakes lasting with my current exception
(will explain) and I have always noticed that rotors don't last as long after they
have been turned. They warp very easily to me afterward. On my '96 though I had to
replace the rotors the first time since the factory ones were complete crap! This
has been my on exception to the rule. I understand the factor for the rotors on
your durango. My fathers started doing the same thing after about 6k. I still feel
that dodge needs to get this problem fixed (have had work vans with the same
prob.) and they need to switch over to 4-wheel disk. There is no need to wait for
a new redesign for that.
