If you see the AirRaid version, it will be the same but directed to the
front of the hole and filter. Leaving the top open to the hood, resting
against the front portion of the housing, the three top side edges will have
a rubber booty for seal against the hood. Inside the heat shield should
have at least two inches of 3" round tube that the K&N rest on and the back
side has two inches where the intake tube will connect.

For my po'boy, my next step is to 'heatshield 'and 'air redirect' the

There appear to be 3 sources of cool air:
1) radiator gap
2) between engine and body/fender well area
3) from hole in fender/corner well area (where stock air box is vaguely
aimed).
When I eyeball it, if I could get shielding in to protect those cold air
sources, and also to help direct it to the filter, it could make a big
difference.
