Check the head design on the Bowtie and that will answer your question. I
would not run them either in the a Camaro.

My bro in law ran +4's on his 99 Trans Am (LS1 engine)
Ran rich, blew black smoke, missed at high rpms, ect...
Put the recomended NGK's in it... Ran much smoother, no smoke... ect...
BTW, PEP GIRLS sells Autolites... under a buck a piece here...
