they do to an extent... Mark Kuzia has a detailed write up on his webpage on
how to port your own TB. results will vary w/ your skill... it seems to be
the concencus from TB makers on the list that there is a lot to gain from
massaging the blade shafts.
you really need to cut out the hourglass shape of the bores if nothing
else....
