Mine is roughly $150 a month for a first time driver at age 26, in New York
State. I got mine through a local agent for Progressive. I checked with a
couple other local insurance providers after I got my license and was told
upwards of $3500 a year when I was looking at a new Ram 1500. Even when my
mother suggested that I buy her '96 Sentra, her agent told her it would cost
me around $3000 per year.
