OK, I know most of you technical folks already new this, nothing new, but I
was just guessing that a gallon of gas had to be pretty close to the same
weight as a gallon of water 8.33 lbs. right??? WRONG, actually is weighs,
on average, 6.1 lbs/per gallon.
That'd mean a full tank (for me) would only be 134 lbs, instead of the 180
lbs I was thinking it was. Thats what I get for thinking.
In fact the Dept. Of Energy says Gasoline ranges from 5.8 to 6.5 lbs./gallon.
(I guess fuel additives play a role???? not sure)
