How to polish valve covers?

Hi all -

I have two sets of nice old LA Small Block valve covers that I am going to
put on my R/T (yeah yeah, I know) and they are all dull and nasty looking.
I want to get them to a full polish again and then paint the fins Solar
Yellow. Can anyone tell me how to do that as I have never done it?

Also, can one of you tell me who carries the TransDapt Aluminum 9.25 rear
cover and how much it is?
