Since '95 or thereabouts, the fuel filter & pump have been located in
the gas tanks of our trucks. This makes changing the filter a bit of a
chore, as you have to drain & drop the tank to get at it.
Would it be possible/safe/practical/whatever to remove the fuel
pump/filter assembly from the tank, and install an aftermarket filter &
pump inline with the fuel line, clamped to a framerail or something else
that's convenient?
