I'd be willing to bet this info is not correct.I know for a fact that a
suburban is not available with the 8.1L vortec. It is available with the
5.3L&6.0L, though.I think the numbers are probably for a 'burban with the
5.3L.The 5.3L is rated at 285hp@5200 rpm,325 ft-lbs@4000.The 6.0L is rated
at 300 hp@4400 rpm,360 ft-lbs@4000 rpm.The 8.1L is rated at 340hp@4200
rpm,455 ft-lbs@3200 rpm.Even if it was a 5.3L, a 64 hp loss is about a 22.5%
loss.A 6.0L would make it a 26.X% loss.Check again and see if the info
wasn't changed somewhere.

Subject: DML: 2001 Chevy Surburban 8100 Engine Parasitic Lost in HP

Going several products from the SEMA show, I found the Dyno sheet for a 2001
Chevy Suburban 8100 Vortech running a 221RWHP. I had to laugh since it was
rated 300HP. Man! What a bunch a crock.
