Don't know if you've made the drive before, but Chicago/StL via I-55 is 300
miles. It sounds like you live a little south of Chicago... If you're
already down I-57, it's a little farther. Either way, if you want to come
down, give yourself 4-1/2 or 5 hours for the drive, going 70-ish.
Traffic/construction shouldn't be too bad on a Saturday (it took me six
hours once, yeurgh).
