I know excatly what your talking about. I thought the same thing and ended
up putting a pair of srobe lights in there. The small tube ones. If you
drill out the hole a little bit it will slide right in. I use them for
show, but i have used them if i pull over on the side of the road as my
flashers. They are MUCH brighter. Its just a thought. Im sure you could
put a bulb in there otherwise...wiring could just go to the parking lamp
wires. A pretty easy splice....
