Question:
There seems to be some discussion about the lack of lift kits for the newer
Daks, and from what I've heard, it's a case of the brakes not being up to
par, and the companies will not release with the brakes being what they are.
Now, I'm interested in life my Dak, so I ahve some interest in this issue.
What is it about the brakes that don't live up the expectations of the lift
companies. Is it something that could be fixed with after market brake
parts? (i.e. would repleacement rotors/discs fix the problem, or are we
looking deeping into the system. If there are aftermarket fixes, would
there be a chance we could get the companies to package the lifts with the
brake upgrades?
I know I need some air on my Dak, and maybe that fact that I cannot go drop
the $$$ on a lift kit now is a blessing, but I do what to do in in the
future, and I'm sure as hell going to do what I can to have the option when
I'm ready.
