new best times...

well she's runnin good now, still not where I think she should be. Thanks
to the R/T guys for not throwing me out of their party :-) VERY nice
trucks on hand, I was extremely impressed with those rides. The group let
me don their # series so I could race w/ them and not in the general
population of shivvies and terds, and I finally got to line up with some
R/Ts!

1st run was a bit disappointing, I could only tie my previous best time of
15.4. I let her sit a while and came back to clip a 15.2, then a spun my
next pass to a 15.3. Finally on the last pass I nailed a lovely
15.1@90.3mph I'm still not happy, altough I probably should be. I picked
up 50hp on the dyno, and squeaked by with a .3 gain.

Side note: it was much warmer today than when I set the previous best...

I'm beginning to wander about my tranny, the 1-2 shift is gettin soft and
she'll wind up high before it goes in the next gear so I think it might be
slipping. It seems that I keep adding more power, and don't get much
faster... OTOH, on the trip home after the sun went down, temps dropped
bigtime. I think if I can get a pass with some 50° temps, I'll be in the
14s.

Next time I'm coming with a vengence, no R/T shall leave unspanked!! o:-)
