The stock intake didn't leak like this, so I installed the M1 the same way.
(Bad idea.) Yeah, I should have know better, and even had to force myself
to keep from RTV'ing the thing. Please don't take away my torque wrench,
I'll never do it again!!! :'B

Ok...so why aren't you people using RTV on the rubber seal?? All you need
is
just a little bit in the groove. If you're going to use the cork seal
(yech...I remember those from BB Chebbies...they suck), dimple the mating
surfaces with a punch so that it has something to "bite" on.
