This is probably the major bummer with the newsgroup. Since there's
no subscriber list, there isn't really a good way to know how many DMLers
are using it. I have thought of writing a script to guesstimate based on
the number of people posting via the ng, but of course, that misses all
of the lurkers.
Probably what I will do is to use the nnrpd connect messages to
generate a count of DMLers on the ng. Its possible that I might miss a
few who might share an IP address or something, but it should be more
accurate than just counting posts anyway...
