Well I picked up my splash guards today. And then went over to the
first dodge dealer that quoted me 74 bucks... I had them look the price
up again I didnt tell them I already had the parts sitting outside in
the back of the Dakota LOL. Guy comes back from the computer - 75 for
right - 80 for left and says "and theres a lower part too I dont know if
you want that" I said yes thats the part I want the lower part.. not the
inner metal fender. He says the lower part is 27 bucks........
bingo...... I told him thats that I thought. And told him that I already
bought the parts from aother dealer. I went there because you guys
quoted me 74 bucks for one part - and I knew it couldnt be that much.
THey said well we don't mark it up that high. I said well I'm glad I was
wrong. Its clear what happened here - these bimbos didnt know what
damned part they were looking for - even after I explained it a thousand
times. The guys there didnt say too much to me after that. It was clear
they were weither embarassed or seriously irritated with me. Either way
I don't care. If they cant get me the right part at the correct price -
then I'll do just what I did... go where I can find it.

Then after all that - I had a saleman snag me and try to talk me into
trading my old beat up wrecked right fender 1989 Dakota, for a new one.
I told him no way. That I would never sellor trade my truck in. I said
Not for a million dollars - not if you gave me a new truck in exchange
for the old one... that I'll be buried in a 22 foot long grave inside my
Dakota - before I get rid of it. Heheh - I treat that Dak like shes a
69 Charger or a 2000 Gunmetal grey Viper or a 69 RS/SS Chevy Camaro
(yeah I'm a bowtie 69 Camaro lover - bite me if ya dun like that! LOL)

Can't buy a new Dakota for some time - gotta save up the dead presidents
first...
