I had 140 pounds last winter here in Syracuse, NY (we get lake-effect)
and didn't have any trouble. I have 240 now and think it's more than
enough for around here. Remember that the more weight you put in the
bed, the more you shift your weight balance away from your front wheels
(you know, the ones that keep you going in the direction you want to go
in?).

I'm sure there's a point of diminishing returns when it comes to loading
down the bed.
