Believe it or not...a majority of Texas is of German decedents.
Just look at the names: Pflugerville, New Braunfels, Fredricksburg, etc...

Good point Bernd! Lots of German influence in the good old USA and the
world. Let's not forget that in the 19th century German institutions of
higher learning were the the class of the world.
I was under the impression that beer came from what is now part of Iraq and
Iran. Hmmmm?
BTW, have you been to Fredricksberg yet and actually heard German spoken?
Quite surprising for the Heart-o-Texas.
