you forgot a couple things....
1> You're motor is STOCK! You have 240-ish hp at the crank in a 4600lb (or
more) pickup. Do the math and you'll see that mid-high 15's are about right
2> You'll be faster with an SC, but you should look into other mods first.
See how fast you can get it on motor, then add the SC.
3> Don't give up, it was only your first time at the track and I'm sure
there's a lot you have left to learn about runnin' that truck as opposed to
prior track experience. Truck's are a totally different ballgame on the
strip.
