I know this sound stupid, but have you emptied your trash folder lately or
compressed the other folders?
My wife had a similar problem with getting "can't write to file" errors and it
was due to a max sized trash folder. (Don't ask how long it took me to figure
this one out. I was running a C++ debugger looking for some new Nutscrape
"feature" without even trying the easy stuff first!)
