This sensor is used to determine battery temp. and control battery
charging rate. This temp. data, along with data from monitored
line voltage, is used by the PCM to vary the battery charging rate.
System voltage will be higher at colder temps. and is gradually
reduced at warmer temps.

If you remove the battery, it's the round-looking thing in the
middle of the battery tray with its wiring running up from below
the tray.
