David,

Okay, here's how this all works. Read closely because what you have may not
be what I describe here. This depends on the options on your truck. The
heavy duty service group provides what I have on my vehicle.
First you have the radiator. If you do NOT have the heavy duty svc grp, you
will see oil lines from your transmission going into the radiator from the
side that is facing the engine. This is known as the oil to coolant type of
cooler. At the very least, your truck is equipped with this type of cooler.
If you do have the heavy duty svc grp, you will see your radiator and in
front of the radiator (toward the front of the truck) is the A/C condenser
coils. These almost cover the entire area in front of the radiator but it's
covered with fins so air can pass right through to the radiator. It's very
important not to bend these fins. In front of the condenser down at bumper
level, from the top of the bumper to the bottom of the air dam is the
transmission oil cooler. It is 5" high and stretches across the width of
the radiator. This is known as an oil to air cooler for hvy duty usage. If
this didn't come with your truck you can purchase aftermarket ones that will
serve this purpose. I'm not sure this is a necessity unless you plan on
towing. I don't believe using OD constitutes hvy duty usage, however, oil
cooling can't hurt, and if for nothing more than peace of mind, go for it.
By the way, the A/C condenser will appear in front of your radiator if your
vehicle is equipped with A/C regardless whether you have hvy duty svc grp or
not.

Ok...what im going to do,is buy the appropriate Hayden Transmission Oil
cooler, and have a shop install it for me.This way,i can use OD in the
city...

Ohh,and when i stopped by the Dealer a couple of months ago,and asked about
putting on a Tranny cooler, the "SFB" service advisor said,"see this thing in
front of the radiator?..this is your tranny cooler"

NOT..it is the A/C Condenser!..SFB said it also cools the Tranny Fluid.

JHC...These FA's dont know dick!
