My Dakota did this about 18 months ago too. I didn't follow the coolant
trail all the way to the thermostat and originally thought I had blown head
gasket as the coolant trail went straight to the outside front head bolt.
Since it was under warranty, I just took it to the dealership. Since then,
it hasn't leaked a bit. I know of a 99 360 Durango that is/was leaking this
way too.
