Let me put a plug in here.
I've seen the Blackbird up close, it is one most impressive aircraft! There
is one on display at the Robins Air Force Museum, in Warner Robins, Ga. You
can get there very easily from I-75 (about 10 miles), a couple of exits
south of Macon. If I am not mistaken, this birds last flight was from CA to
GA and it was talked around that it made that flight in several minutes less
than one hour. If any of you have an opportunity to see one, very
definitely worth your while! BTW, the museum is free to the public.
Dak content, each year in October the museum hosts a "wings & wheels" show.
Many classic cars on display. This year there was even a couple of Daks,
maybe we'll put ours in next year...
